| The City of Repentigny is the
commercial pole for retail trade activities of the southern part of the
region of Lanaudière. It is located close to the east end of the
Island of Montreal to which it is connected by the Le Gardeur and
Benjamin-Moreau bridges. [regional

Very well located, the city of Repentigny can depend on an easily
accessible road and highway network that facilitates the travel for its
local population as well as for its visitors. The nearby critical
road junctions (40 and 640, 40 and 20, 640 and 25, 15, 13) connecting to
major urban centers such as Montreal, Laval and Quebec reinforce
Repentigny's privileged geographic location.
The new City of Repentigny, product of the merger between the old
cities of Repentigny and Le Gardeur, has a total population of
72,218. It hence ranks 12th in the Province of Quebec.

The City of Repentigny is the
regional pole for commercial and retail activities of the region of south
Lanaudière. It attracts a diversified clientèle from a
geographic area extending to Lavaltrie to the East, L'Épiphanie to the
North and Mascouche to the West. This trade area has a total
population of approximately 200,000 persons, excluding the population of
the East End of the Island of Montreal.
